31 & Change designs with a twist, a wink, and a smile in mind. Each piece is hand crafted and hand forged - built in the company’s Northbrook, Illinois studio. Founder Kurt Lenard’s professional experience as a Creative Director and Art Director influences the bold colorful nature of the work.

31 & Change represents a date, an age, and an evolving mindset. Every piece is created to find its own unique graphic expression, whether seen through the wood grain, the juxtaposition of color, or the combination of materials. Most importantly, every piece is purposely built to bring joy to your home. Trees are like nature’s nose hairs. The importance of what trees give us cannot be overstated, not only do trees provide oxygen for us, they clean the air we breathe and the earth we walk on. Needless to say, for a furniture maker trees hold an even greater significance.

So, for every piece of furniture we sell, and you buy, we will donate 2 trees (one for you, one for us) to the National Forest Foundation. It’s our way of giving back to something that has given us so much.
